Jalen Hurts Eagles White House

Jalen Hurts and other Eagles players will not attend White House visit due to ‘scheduling conflicts’

The Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl LIX champions. They’re in Washington today, about to shake hands and take awkward photos at the White House with President Donald Trump. Jalen Hurts, the franchise quarterback and Super Bowl MVP, is not there.

The reason? “Scheduling conflict.”

Translation? He’s not going and he doesn’t owe anyone a damn explanation.

Jalen Hurts responds when asked if he plans on visiting the White House

Look, if you’re still clutching your pearls about players not visiting the White House, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s 2025. This isn’t new. It’s been this way for years — no matter who’s in office.

You know what matters? Winning football games. Winning championships. Building a dynasty. Not standing around clapping in a rented suit in front of a bunch of politicians who wouldn’t know a blitz package if it hit them in the face.

Saquon Barkley catches ride on Marine One with President Trump before Eagles White House visit, breaks the internet

Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley got ripped apart online this weekend because he played a round of golf with Trump at Bedminster.

Saquon Barkley clapped back perfectly:

“Lol some people are really upset cause I played golf and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have an amazing day.”

Fantastic response there from Saquon.

Here’s the truth no one seems to want to say out loud: Nobody actually cares about the White House visit unless they need something to get mad about for fake social media points.

If Saquon wants to golf with Trump? Cool.

If Jalen Hurts wants to stay home and work out? Cool.

You don’t have to like it. You don’t have to cry about it. You don’t have to write an essay on Reddit about how “disappointed” you are. You just have to deal with it.

This is America. You get to choose.

Personally…?

I don’t give two flying fucks if half the roster wants to go, stay, protest, take a nap, go fishing, or do a TikTok dance on the South Lawn. All I care about is Jalen Hurts being locked in for another Super Bowl run and Saquon Barkley bulldozing defenders into oblivion this fall.

The Eagles are world champions. Again. That’s the story. That’s the history. That’s what your grandkids are gonna remember — not some photo op.

If you’re screaming about this on the internet today, maybe step outside. Touch some grass and remind yourself that you root for the best damn football team in the world.

And as The Hold Steady said:

“Half the bar is screaming out Born to Run. The other half Born to Lose. But baby, we were Born to Choose.

The Birds chose greatness. Everything else is just noise.
