Saquon Barkley responds to critics after catching a ride on Marine One with President Trump before Eagles White House visit
Yesterday, the internet completely melted when a video surfaced of President Trump and Eagles Super Bowl Champion Saquon Barkley stepping off Marine One together at Morristown Airport in New Jersey.
Yes, you read that correctly — Saquon Barkley and Donald Trump, fresh off a helicopter ride together like it’s just another weekend afternoon. The Eagles are visiting the White House today to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX title, and just the fact that they accepted the invite already had people on social media throwing tantrums.
Like clockwork, seeing Saquon with Trump nearly ended civilization as we know it — at least according to your timeline.

Social Media Outcry:
Just look at the numbers and you’ll realize this really isn’t a big deal at all. 77.3 million Americans voted for Donald Trump in 2024.
If you have a problem with Saquon Barkley going to dinner with the President of the United States then I hate to break it to you, but there’s a good chance that you are the problem.
Not to mention, if the President of the United States, regardless of political affiliation, reached out to you and said “Hey, the Philadelphia Eagles are coming to the White House tomorrow, how about I pick you up in New Jersey on MARINE ONE and give you a lift to the event” are you honestly going to say no?
No chance. Not a single one of you is turning that down. Stop lying to yourself.
The Political Side of Things…
If you really want to dive into the political mud pit: Saquon once golfed with Barack Obama and called it one of the coolest experiences of his life. So maybe — just maybe — the guy simply enjoys the surreal moments of being around presidents.

Crazy thought, right?
The main thing I have never really been able to grasp is that each political side, mainly the left, is never open for dialogue. Outside of the fact that no one knows (or should care) about Saquon’s political affiliation, if the assumption is that he’s on the left, then having him on a helicopter with the President of an opposing political party should be celebrated.
Nothing changes without conversation and an open dialogue.
It cannot be Zero Dark Thirty on two political sides regardless. Being able to talk and communicate with one another is of the utmost importance. Without it, you have two separate views, operating completely alone with no room to grow and learn from one another.
Instead of making assumptions, criticizing, or really even supporting Saquon and Trump together, maybe everyone just takes a step back and appreciates the fact that there’s an apparent conversation happening.
Personally, I saw this video and my only thought was how insane it would be to have the President of the United States call you and offer you a ride on Marine Force 1 from New Jersey to Washington DC.
That’s really it for me.
It’s an incredible opportunity and experience that I’m sure Saquon Barkley will talk about and remember for the rest of his life. It all happened because the Philadelphia Eagles are World Champions and he put up one of the GREATEST performances in the history of the NFL.
That’s something worth celebrating with everyone. Politics, race, religion, or whatever creed you hold dear to your heart literally doesn’t matter at that point.
Go Birds. White House visit today should be interesting.
