Caitlin Clark Called Out with Racist Remark on Live TV — Skip Bayless Blasts WNBA for Hypocrisy

If you saw the clip of Brittney Griner apparently making a racist remark about Caitlin Clark, you know it sparked debate on social media — but we still haven’t heard a word from the WNBA to clear it up.

And honestly, it if it wasn’t for Skip Bayless, this whole thing would have just been swept under the rug.

In classic Skip fashion, he went scorched earth on his latest episode of The Skip Bayless Show, calling out the league for its blatant hypocrisy after Griner may have been caught on camera saying “trash fucking white girl” from the bench during a game against the Indiana Fever.

Watch: Skip Bayless calls out WNBA for not clearing up remarks made towards Caitlin Clark

Skip’s been in the media game for over 50 years, but this version of him — unfiltered and off the leash — is different. Now that he’s running his own media venture, he doesn’t have to answer to ESPN, FS1, or any corporate overlords who panic at the mere mention of controversy.

“I waited to comment on this until the WNBA was able to investigate it,” Skip said. “I wanted them to issue a statement about it. But we have heard nothing from the WNBA, absolutely nothing. And Brittney Griner has not commented, which I find significant.”

“Tell Me I’m Wrong”

Let’s get one thing straight: It sure seems like this is what Griner said. Even if you flunked out of lip reading school, you can still see it plain as day. But of course, we had media personalities like Jemele Hill trying to spin it — claiming Griner actually said “wack call.”

Skip wasn’t buying it.

“It sure looks like Brittney Griner says ‘f*cking white girl.’ To me, the last word is ‘girl’ not ‘call.’ Tell me I’m wrong.”

Watch the clip for back for yourself. Regardless, the bigger issue here is the fact that nobody asked Griner about this in a press conference? No statement from the WNBA either? Strange. And that’s the point Skip was trying to make during his podcast touching on this.

There’s still a debate over who Griner was actually targeting. Was it Caitlin Clark? Or the white female referee?

Skip leans toward Clark — not because she was the one who drew the foul, but because Clark is the lightning rod. She’s the one the league is clearly building around. She’s the one selling out arenas and shattering viewership records.

Remember Angel Reese’s Fake Hate Crime?

The league spent nearly two weeks investigating an accusation that Fever fans made monkey noises toward Angel Reese. That turned out to be a complete hoax — but the WNBA treated it was deflate gate. Meanwhile, Griner gets caught on camera, and they pretend like it never happened.

To make matters worse, during that very same time, Reese posted a TikTok calling Caitlin Clark a scared little “white girl” and joking about fighting her.

Still nothing from the league. You’d think their “No Space For Hate” campaign only works in one direction.

At the end of the day, Skip may have been stirring the pot slightly for clicks but,— he’s asking the same question a lot of us have been too scared to say out loud: Why is it okay for some players to say things that others would get crucified for?

This isn’t a conversation about race. It’s about fairness. Consistency. Accountability. The things the WNBA claims to care about — but clearly doesn’t when it threatens their preferred narrative.
