Eagles WR interest

Rumor: Eagles show interest in former Bengals Pro-Bowl wide receiver

The off-seaon rumor mill is officially heating up and the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are apparently looking to add to their already loaded receiving corps. Howie Roseman is allegedly eyeing up former Bengals Pro Bowler Tyler Boyd, who is coming off of a lackluster season with the Titans.

The Eagles could get a real talent on a discount if they pick up Boyd as WR3:

Sure, Tyler Boyd’s 2024 season left a lot to be desired, but he played for the Tenessee Titans for crying out loud. He had Will Levis throwing him the ball on a team that wound up with the number one overall pick in the draft.

His best years came playing with a competent quarterback alongside two top NFL talents in Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. The Eagles have a similarly talented duo in AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

He’s a former Pro Bowler with a 1,000 yard season under his belt. No offense to Jahan Dotson, but he’d be an upgrade at the WR3 spot even with diminished touches.

I don’t think it would be the worst thing in the world for the Birds to take a flyer on Tyler Boyd. There’s cap space available, and I highly doubt he’d command more than the $4.5 million he got from the Titans.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
