Viral Pacers fans troll ESPN, night ruined by NBA Official Scott Foster in the closing minutes
I’ll be honest with you — I’d be absolutely sick if I was a Pacers fan right now. Gainbridge Fieldhouse was rocking last night for Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The vibes were at an all-time high as the Pacers were starring down the barrel of a 3-1 lead on the Thunder. But unfortunately, the NBA scrip-writing had something else to say about that.
Before we get to that, though — let me show some love to two legends in the crowd who completely stole the show.

Amongst the sea of gold shirts and playoff towels, two absolute heroes showed up in bright orange and powder blue tuxedos — straight out of Dumb and Dumber. And no, this wasn’t some cheap Halloween cosplay. It was a full-on troll job, complete with Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins face cutouts.
Let me say this now — I own a framed poster of Dumb and Dumber in my sports basement man cave, right near my giant Eagles Super Bowl banner. That movie will forever be a comedic classic. So naturally, when I saw Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne slandering ESPN’s loudest mouths right there in the front row of an NBA Finals game, it gave me all the extra juice to pull for the Pacers last night.
Unfortunately, Scott Foster, a.k.a. “The Extender,” lives up to his name yet again
Of course, this is where the story turns.
I’m sure all of the Pacers fans in attendance or at home knew in the back of their minds last night was going to be a tough one. Not only were they facing a desperate Thunder team but they were gong to war against Scott Foster, a.k.a. “The Extender”.
Scott Foster was in the building. And surprise, surprise — he extended.
There was a missed travel on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with just over two minutes left. You can watch it frame-by-frame: he shuffles his feet, pushes off, drills a jumper, and puts the Thunder up 104-103 — a lead Indiana never got back.
Guess what? It won’t even show up in the NBA’s Last 2-Minute Report. Too early. Lucky you, Scott.
“There were a number of missed travels in this game, no doubt about it,” said ESPN’s Tim Legler after the game.

Yeah, no doubt. There were also missed momentum swings, missed calls on Myles Turner in the paint, and missed opportunities to let the Pacers close out at home.
The Fourth Quarter Meltdown Was Real — But So Was the Agenda
Let’s be fair — the Pacers did go cold in the fourth. No movement, no rhythm, and definitely no Haliburton heroics. It’s not all on Foster.
But that’s the problem with The Extender. It’s never just one call. It’s a million little things that slowly drain the life out of a team. He doesn’t steal wins — he steals belief.
Head coach Rick Carlisle didn’t go nuclear postgame. Neither did Haliburton. But they didn’t have to. Everyone watching saw what went down.
Meanwhile… I’m in Indiana for the Real Show
By the way, I’m in Indiana this weekend to catch the Fever game, because after connecting with Caitlin Clark on Facebook (yes, really), the face of the WNBA invited me for her return game this afternoon against the New York Liberty.
If you missed that saga, I wrote all about it in yesterday’s blog:
Sound The Alarms: Caitlin Clark just added me on Facebook >>
Speaking of Caitlin, here perfect record attending Pacers game this post season was ruined thanks to Scott Foster’s punk ass.
Pacers are now 8-1 this post season with Caitlin Clark in attendance…
