Eagles fans got to Jared Verse — now he’s finally seen the light

Eagles fans have officially made Jared Verse change his tune — and it only took a snowstorm, two sacks, and half a year of reflection.

The Rams pass rusher, who once openly declared his hatred for Philly’s faithful, is now calling them the best opposing fan base in the NFL. That’s not just a 180 — that’s a full-blown U-turn on the Schuylkill during rush hour.

To rewind — before the Rams and Eagles met in the Divisional Round last postseason, Verse, the rookie firestarter out of Florida State, poured gas on the fire with a blunt assessment of Philly: “They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.” Classic mistake.

He got exactly what he asked for — a snowy Lincoln Financial Field, a chorus of boos that could be heard across the Walt Whitman, and a hard-fought 28-22 loss. To his credit, Verse balled out in that game. Two sacks, three tackles for loss, and an all-around performance that nearly sent the Birds packing early.

But Philly fans don’t forget. They circled his name in green ink.

Verse Comes Around on Eagles Nation

Now, ahead of the 2025 season, Verse is backpedaling on his stance. In an interview with Whistle Sports, he gave it up to the Eagles crowd:

“Probably the Eagles… I’ve got to give them that. I like when you kind of get into it, you’re aggressive, you’re loud… They stand by that with no doubt.”

He even likened playing in Philly to a college rivalry game, saying the crowd is “gonna say some stuff where you’re like, ‘Who you talkin’ to?’” — which, to be fair, is basically our love language.

So yes, Verse is now on record saying Eagles fans are the best. And honestly? We respect it. Because it’s not easy to go from villain to convert in this city. You don’t have to love us, we know we’re not for everybody, but when you recognize greatness, we tip our cheesesteak to you.

Week 3: Another Trip to the Linc

Verse and the Rams are coming back to Philadelphia in Week 3 this season. Do we believe fans will take it easy on him now that he’s come around? Absolutely not. He’ll still get booed, heckled, and reminded that in Philly, we don’t care how many sacks you had — we remember what you said.

But maybe now, Jared Verse understands that’s exactly what makes us the best. And maybe, just maybe, he’ll enjoy every second of it.
