94WIP reignites the ‘Should Starters Play in the Preseason?’ debate for the 5th straight year
94WIP simply can’t come up with original or new talking points.
The Eagles kickoff their preseason tonight against the Cincinatti Bengals and the Birds starters will reportedly not play. This is nothing new for the Nick Sirianni led Eagles. The only time I can remember starters playing was in 2022 — when Jalen Hurts was still unproven and the offense wa trying to find its footing. And they only played 1-2 series that entire preseason.
Ever since, starters don’t see the field in the preseason at all. The result: no injuries, playoff appearances every year, and a Super Bowl victory.
Nevertheless, 94WIP never wastes an opportunity to re-hash a tired talking point.
Joe Giglio tries to convince 94WIP listeners that the starters should play tonight
I genuinely don’t understand why anyone listens to this station anymore. This is just a watse of air-time. No useful insight. No original takes. Just talking for the sake of talking.
There are 100 things to talk about at any given time. Something that’s been talked about every year for five consecutive years now shouldn’t be one of them. But again, 94WIP is lazy and evidentally out of ideas.
