Jalen Hurts Praise: Someone who was actually good at football admires how Eagles QB goes about his business

We hear a lot of Jalen Hurts slander these days. For a guy who’s been to two Super Bowls, played damn near perfect in both, and now has a Super Bowl MVP under his belt, the amount of daily criticism he gets from media outlets is insane.

The slander’s just for engagement — that’s not a secret anymore. And sure, we cover it too because, well, engagement’s engagement. But when someone actually praises Hurts, we’ve got to cover that as well — something nobody outside of Philly will do because it goes against the Anti-Jalen Hurts agenda.

Funny enough, the people who praise Hurts usually actually were good at football. The ones who constantly trash him (Chris Simms, Chase Daniel, etc.)? Complete ass.

Peyton Manning has sung Hurts’ praises before, and when he sat down with Chris Collinsworth on the ProFootballFocus podcast, it was no different.

Manning: “He’s played so well in both of the Super Bowls, but I like the way he goes about it. He calls me a lot and asks me lots of questions. They actually run a lot of plays that we used to run. [Nick] Sirianni, to Frank Reich, to Tom Moore, sort of that chain. And he calls me with very specific questions about certain plays. So he’s a student of the game.

Here’s another example—he squats 600 pounds, he can run over guys, he can throw it a mile. But his appreciation of the cerebral part of the game is what is impressive to me and how he’s taken his game to the next level and I think the sky is the limit for this guy.”

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ll take Peyton’s word over Dan Orlovsky, Simms, and Daniel’s every day of the week. We don’t care what engagement farmers have to say about Jalen Hurts anymore. Your words carry no weight. You’re better off sucking down your own farts than saying another word about Hurts. Now THAT would be great content.
