Landon Dickerson is already back in South Philly 24 hours after meniscus surgery, with an ice cold beer in hand

This is how you know Landon Dickerson was built to play offensive line in Philadelphia. Less than 24 hours after getting his meniscus cleaned up, the man is already back out in the South Philly summer heat with pain meds in the system and a cooler of ice-cold brewskis in hand.

That’s my kind of rehab program.

Landon Dickerson Injury

Surgery went down Wednesday morning. Thursday afternoon, he’s posted up like it’s any other day. No crutches, no doom-and-gloom, just a big man enjoying life.

Eagles say it’s nothing long-term. Just a fix-up job with three weeks to go until the season opener. No hard return date yet, but if this dude’s already walking around, I’m betting on him being ready to roll Week 1.

From Panic to “We’re Fine” in 48 Hours

When Landon Dickerson went down late in Sunday’s open practice at the Linc, the mood flipped instantly. Lane Johnson chucked his helmet across the field, which is never a good sign, and you could feel the “oh no” ripple through the crowd.

ACL? Achilles? Season over? That’s where everyone’s head went.

Instead, we got the best possible news. No season-ending anything. Just a quick cleanup, a couple days off the feet, and we’re back.

Brett Toth’s Crash Course

While Dickerson’s out, Brett Toth’s been running with the ones at left guard. He even admitted he wasn’t thrilled with his reps Thursday, but whatever. These are valuable learning snaps. In a few weeks, it’ll be Dickerson’s spot again anyway.

Philly dodged a bullet.

Landon Dickerson isn’t just fine, he’s living the South Philly summer life like nothing happened. Painkillers, cold beer, 90-degree heat, three weeks until kickoff. That’s championship recovery right there.
