Eagles reveal their first official depth chart of the 2025 season
The Philadelphia Eagles have dropped their first official depth chart of the season:
No Huge Surprises Here for the Eagles
This is about what we all expected for Week 1. Offense is completely set in stone, with a few question marks on the defensive side of the ball, namely at linebacker, safety, and corner.
I imagine Jihaad Campbell will take the reigns over Jeremiah Trotter Jr. As much as I’d love to see Trotter thrive, I just think Campbell is too good to keep on the sidelines. His snaps will probably continue to increase as the season goes on.
In the secondary, we have Sydney Brown/Andrew Mukuba starting opposite of Reed Blankenship at safety, with Adoree Jackson/Jakorian Bennett starting opposite Quinyon Mitchell at outside corner. If I had to guess, Brown will start initially at safety, especially since Mukuba is nursing a hamstring injury. Once he’s fully healthy, he’ll be the full-time starter.
I think something similar plays out at CB2 as well. Jackson will start, get burned a few times, before Vic Fangio turns to Bennett to save the day.
All in all, nothing shocking here. I’m just ready to for the season to start already.
