Bryce Harper’s dream autograph belongs to an American hero
Philadelphia Phillies superstar and known patriot Bryce Harper was recently asked the question, “If you could have any autograph from history, whose would it be?” His answer was pitch-perfect, to say the very least.
Bryce Harper immediately went with George Washington, with Philadelphia hero Benjamin Franklin coming in close second place:

What a fucking patriot.
George Washington and Ben Franklin are both solid choices. I have to say, they’d be at the top of my list as well.
In fact, when I was on a date a couple of months ago, I was asked who I’d invite to a dinner party, dead or alive. Ben Franklin was my first choice – without hesitation – and to say she was shocked and confused would be an understatement.
Fortunately, we’ve continued to see each other after that night, so that wasn’t a complete bomb on my part, but I’d stand by that choice no matter what the outcome was.
Okay, I probably wouldn’t. Fortunately, I’m not in that situation at this time. And thank god for that.
Harper always seems to have the right answers. Obviously, Philly is the birthplace of America (suck it, Boston), and those two men were integral in the creation of a Republic coming up on its 250th anniversary.
Some call it pandering, some call it patriotism. I just call it “knowing what’s good.”
Of course, this is still my second-favorite response from Bryce Harper. His viral answer to fans in right field asking an incredibly important question back in 2021 still takes the cake for me.
