Mekhi Becton hospitalized after rice and beans incident in Brazil

Former Eagles lineman and known philanderer Mekhi Becton has had a rough time down in Brazil with the Chargers. The big man was hospitalized after consuming a plate of rice and beans.

Honestly, I can’t fault him here. Whenever I’m in a foreign country I’m going to indulge in the native cuisine.

As I always say, you must adhere to the local customs. Unfortunately for Becton, however, he’s going to be adhered firmly to a hospital bed in Sao Paolo heading into gametime.

I’ve heard of folks getting sick in Latin America from eating pretty much anything, but I feel like rice and beans would’ve been a safe bet. Plus he’s a pretty big guy who loves to eat, so I figured that he would have a stronger stomach than that.
