Miles Sanders came through for Philly, just in a different uniform
It’s been a long time since Miles Sanders made an impact at The Linc. Turns out all it took was putting on a Cowboys uniform.
Dallas thought they were getting some reliable backfield depth when they scooped Sanders up this offseason.
Instead, Miles Sanders handed the Eagles a gift-wrapped momentum swing in the opener. After breaking off a 49-yard run that looked like it was blocked so well your little cousin could’ve run through it, Sanders coughed it up in the red zone.

Quinyon Mitchell fell on the loose ball, The Linc erupted, and the Birds went into the lightning delay with all the juice.
That’s the Sanders experience in a nutshell. He’ll flash once or twice, but when it actually matters, he finds a way to hurt his own team. Dallas stuck with him over Javonte Williams, who had already scored twice, and paid the price.
Meanwhile, the Eagles kept pounding away with Saquon Barkley and letting Jalen Hurts bully his way into the end zone for two rushing touchdowns.
It was a reminder that Sanders’ best years in Philly were more about Jeff Stoutland’s O-line factory than anything else. Carolina already learned that the hard way, and now Dallas is next in line.
