WATCH: Caleb Williams fails miserably and makes Ben Johnson look like a moron

Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson were reminded about a tale as old as time today against the Detroit Lions.

The NFL wants to ban the Tush Push. Everyone knows that.

It’s a play that’s basically been trademarked by the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts because not a single team in the NFL outside of them can run it as efficiently as they do.

Enter Caleb Williams, the “savior” of the Chicago Bears, lined up on 3rd and 1 and then 4th and 1, trying to bulldoze his way forward with a little QB sneak action.

Unfortunately, the Chicago Bears aren’t “built like that” and neither attempt went anywhere. The Detroit Lions’ defensive line stood tall, stuffed him on 3rd, stuffed him again on 4th, and just like that, Caleb and Co. left the football field with a turnover on downs.

Caleb Williams fails miserably

Death. Taxes. Hurts on 4th and 1. Whenever Jalen Hurts and his ELITE offensive line gets into formation, defenses know it’s coming, and it doesn’t matter—they can’t stop it.

Ben Johnson, This One’s For You

And I can’t help but be reminded of Bears head coach Ben Johnson, who just a few months ago said he “dislikes the Tush Push” because he prefers explosive plays.

What happened, Ben?

How about exploding your drive with a failed 4th and 1 QB sneak in your own territory? How about watching Caleb Williams get absolutely walled off by the Lions’ D-line not once, but twice?

That’s a shame.

NFL Wants to Ban the Play? More Like Stop the Eagles

This whole “ban the Tush Push” debate isn’t about “player safety” or “unfair advantages.” It’s about the rest of the league being jealous crybabies because they can’t execute it like we can in Philadelphia.
