Eagles Road Trip Guide: Tampa Bay – Week 4

If you’re planning to make the trip to Tampa Bay to watch the Eagles take on the Buccaneers Week 4, but have no idea what to do when you get there, you’ve come to the right place.

This is the comprehensive Eagles Road Trip Guide: Tampa Bay edition.

Of course, if you want to skip the planning and let the professionals handle everything, you’ should ‘d be silly not to book with Phans of Philly. They handle flights, hotels, game tickets, and even have an all-inclusive tailgate. Plus they always put on an event or two to keep the vibes rolling through the weekend into gameday.

We were fortunate enough to make the trip down their for the Eagles’ win on MNF in 2023, and it was some of the most fun I’ve had with Phans of Philly to date. Clearwater Beach is a perfect place to booze and catch some rays with friends, family, or your degenerate coworkers at the fastest growing sports blog in Philadelphia.

Road games in towns with less-than-stellar fanbases are always the best. When we were there back in 2023, 59% of fans in attendance were Eagles fans.

Sure, the Eagles have struggled there the past couple of seasons, but it’s hard to beat a weekend in Florida for some fun and football in the sun. Here are my top places to checkout heading into gameday.

Coco’ Crush Bar

Coco’s a must-do if you like orange crushes with fresh-squeezed Florida oranges. And if that’s not appealing to you, I can’t help you there. The atmosphere is great with outdoor seating and live music, and we went there a couple of times during our time down there.

We thought we lost our sweet boy Steven Conrad Jr., but when I went to look for him, I found him at a table with three women at least 10 years his senior. But let me tell you, they were loving him. And how could you not?

Jimmy’s on the Edge (Rooftop Bar)

Clearwater’s largest rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Gulf. Come for sunset (they give out free Fireball shots, which is perfect for Philly and Delco sickos alike) and stay for the tropical drinks and beachy vibe. Ideal for date night or group hangs.

Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill

An institution on Clearwater Beach. Steps from the sand, live music daily, and their famous Grouper Sandwiches are a must. Great for lunch, happy hour, or casual evening drinks with your feet in the sand.

Phans of Philly – Phillies Watch Parties

Phans always shows out when there are Phillies games during Eagles road trips. No matter the venue, these watch parties are some of their best work, especially when the weather is perfect. Nothing like a Philly sports double-dip in beautiful Clearwater Beach.

Plus, it’s the Phillies’ last three games of the regular season, so expect some high-leverage action against the Twins.

Shephard’s Tiki Beach Bar & Grill

A beachfront party spot with live DJs, dancing, and fire pits. Daytime brings beach bar vibes, while nights turn up with a club-style atmosphere.

Pro Tips

  • Sunset = Prime Time: Rooftop and beachfront spots fill up fast before sunset. Arrive early for the best view.
  • No Alcohol on the Beach: Open containers are not allowed on public sand. Lame, but there’s enough solid bars that this shouldn’t have to come into play
  • Walkable Area: Most top spots are within a 10–15-minute walk. Park once, explore the rest on foot.

Even if you’ve already booked your tickets, hotel, and travel, you’ve still gotta tailgate before the Eagles game, right? That’s what I thought. You can still book tailgate only or tailgate and game ticket options with Phans too.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
