Eagles offense optimistic after OC Kevin Patullo discovers second page of playbook

In a development that has reportedly “changed everything”, the Philadelphia Eagles offense is buzzing with confidence this week after offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo unearthed what team sources are calling a full second page of the team’s playbook.

“Turns out there’s a whole bunch of other plays in there,” said quarterback Jalen Hurts, flipping through the newly discovered material. “We thought we’d exhausted the concepts after ‘Inside Zone Left’ and ‘Inside Zone Right,’ but this new section has things like ‘Play-Action.’ It’s wild.”

Eagles OC Patullo: “I dunno, I thought it just had the one page.”

Patullo says he stumbled upon the extra page while reorganizing his laminated call sheet during a lunch break. “I was just wiping some marinara sauce off the corner, and boom, it flipped over,” he explained. “Apparently we’ve had these plays since Week 1. I just didn’t think to check the back.”

According to wide receiver A.J. Brown, the new page features at least three routes that go beyond the line of scrimmage. “It’s refreshing,” Brown said. “Before, the defense always knew we were running it up the middle. Now they’ll still know that, but sometimes we’ll fake it first.”

Head coach Nick Sirianni expressed cautious optimism. “We don’t want to overwhelm the guys,” Sirianni said. “We’ll probably introduce the second-page plays slowly, maybe one per quarter.”

When asked how he feels about his OC’s absentmindedness, Sirianni said, “That’s Kevin for you. When we were kids playing Pop Warner, he’d be the one picking dandelions and chasing butterflies. But he’s a football guy through and through.”

Sources inside the organization confirm that the team is already planning for next week, when Patullo is expected to check if there’s a third page.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
