Mind Games: Jerry Jones calls Eagles fans ‘frauds’… as a compliment?
Fraud is a word that gets thrown around a lot in the sports world, but Jerry Jones just revolutionized its usage while speaking about Eagles fans. While it’s usually said with a negative connotation, the Cowboys owner used it lovingly when speaking about his team’s rival fan base.
When I first watched this clip of Jerry Jones, I expected to be insulted, but it’s actually quite a nice sentiment:
“I know the frauds that the #Eagles Philadelphia fans are”“We have a good time when we go to Philadelphia” -Jerry Jones

Basically, he’s calling us frauds because, while we like to give him and visiting fans in general a lot of shit, we’re actually good people deep down. This is a concept I’ve agreed with and have been preaching to out-of-towners for as long as I can remember.
I’m going through a bit of a personal reckoning right now. I obviously hate Jerry Jones and the Cowboys… but I also kinda love the guy.
The dude just lives for the attention, no matter how positive or negative. He runs his team into the ground, pisses off stars, and simply does not care. Plus, his mismanagement is both entertaining and helpful for my beloved Eagles.
Maybe I don’t love him, per se, but I have to respect the level of authenticity he provides on a consistent basis. I think we can all at least agree on that.
