76ers select forward Paul Reed with the 58th pick

With their final pick of the night, Philadelphia goes with DePaul forward Paul Reed. A 3-year player for the Blue Demons, Reed adds some size to the Sixers. Paul averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds during his junior year.
Paul brings a lot to the table for Philadelphia. At 6’9 220lbs, he adds some length and ability to play both inside and on the perimeter. His sophomore year Reed shot 40% from 3 and averaged 33% during his tenure.
It is unlikely that Reed will see playing time in Philadelphia and will spend majority of his rookie year in Delaware working on his game. When looking at other players, Reed’s comparison is New York Knicks Moe Harkless.
Reed also had an impressing 2.6 blocks per game this past season. I could expect to see Reed to learn a lot from current backup center Norvel Pelle on improving his blocking.
Philadelphia has had quite the night. Starting the night trading Al Horford to Oklahoma City for Danny Green, followed by Josh Richardson to Dallas for Seth Curry. Reed is the 3rd selection for the 76ers following Tyrese Maxey and Isaiah Joe.
