DeVonta Smith gives back, hosts youth football camp

Not even 24 hours after winning Best College Male Athlete at the 2021 ESPYS, DeVonta Smith was already giving back to the community. DeVonta returned to Alabama to host a youth football camp called The FlexWork Football Camp
“It means a lot just knowing that I’m always welcome in Alabama,” Smith said, “just to be able to come back and do something like this, show my appreciation of this state and everybody that’s supported me.”
Jalen Hurts was also back in Alabama for his own football camp just a few weeks ago. Hurts brought several Eagles wideouts, including DeVonta, to work out during his free time. This camp isn’t the first instance of Smith giving back since joining the Eagles. When he inked his rookie deal, the first thing DeVonta Smith did was purchase a house for his mom.
With all the incredible things the new-look Eagles have been doing on, and off the field, it’s impossible to root against this team. Luckily the Eagles will be able to prove themselves to their doubters soon enough, with training camp kicking off in just under two weeks.
