Eric Wilson named late inactive for Eagles, is he on the move?

One more move could be on the horizon for the Eagles ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline. Right before today’s game against the Detroit Lions, linebacker Eric Wilson was listed as inactive alongside Anthony Harris, Zech McPhearson, and a few others who have consistently been healthy scratches.
Eric Wilson has not been listed once on the injury reports this week and was rumored to be traded earlier this week. Some are pointing to it just being for his poor play, but that doesn’t seem likely. Outside of Alex Singleton and Davion Taylor, no other linebacker has received significant reps at the position, and going right to inactive is a massive leap.
It’s hard not to imagine that the Eagles could have a deal in place or confident one could occur with this late move. Philly signed the veteran linebacker this offseason, and he’s been mediocre at best in Jonathan Gannon’s defense. Any return for Eric Wilson would likely be minimal, but anything in return for him would be a massive win for this organization.
Recently, several Eagles have been linked to potential trades, including Andre Dillard, Fletcher Cox, and Alex Singleton. At the same time, they have been reported to also be in the buying market, so nobody has any clue what Howie Roseman’s plan is. Philadelphia is back in action this afternoon at 1:00.
