Fraud Behavior: Flyers “Sell The Team” kid the same Barstool Philly employee who had the “Sixers in 7” sign last summer

Last summer, I wrote an article about this kid standing out front of City Hall with a Sixers in 7 sign. At the time, the kid represented hope throughout the city that the 76ers would win Game 7 and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. That of course, did not happen and instead, sent Sixers fans into a downward spiral to the deepest depths of hell.
The article was titled “It’s Sixers in 7 but no thanks to this guy.” Throughout the article I speculated that this guy in the picture was nothing but an organizational pawn by the Sixers to stir up false hope about a Sixers team that was clearly struggling in the playoffs.
It was obviously a joke and I was just being an asshole. This article is the same deal.
The kid in the picture was Derek Shuman. A Penn State graduate and employee at Barstool Sports. He runs the Barstool Philly account, which as we all know, is notorious for stealing other peoples content and posting it as their own. Even more so, they delete comments about their merch when TLL and DSGN Tree loyalists say our shirts are better.
Backstory:
After the last article was posted, he messaged me and was upset because I called him a fraud and a Russian KGB agent. The kid said he didn’t care about that but then tried to tell me that my article was inaccurate and he wasn’t working for the Sixers and that we should “go easy” on the organization because they were “dealing with a lot right now” and if I wanted the “real story” I could have reached out to him.

Lol. No.

So of course, I had to tell Derek from Barstool Philly, a Pottsville, PA resident that I do not give a shit about anything he says and that I actually manage the corporate sponsorship between RushOrderTees and the Sixers and they do not care either.

Why I do not like it:
This guy stinks. Just my opinion. I don’t like him and honestly I’ve been waiting for him to do another thing pandering to the fanbase and pawning it off like he was just a fan and not doing his job for Barstool Philly. That day has finally arrived.
Flyers fans have had enough. Last night they finally snapped a 10-game losing streak. Fantastic. Now we have a “random fan” out there with a sign telling the Philadelphia Flyers to sell the team. Definitely not someone doing their job and creating social content for Barstool Sports.
I bet.
I’m not doubting this dudes fandom and I’m certainly not gatekeeping in any type of way. Just say you’re a Barstool Philly employee. What’s the point of doing all these dumb photoshoots of you out there as a “fan” when you’re just getting paid to create content.
It’s fine dude. No one gives a shit anyways.
For all the Stoolies, who continuously get mad whenever I write about Barstool, I promise you, I do not care. The majority of you are a bunch of college nerds and I assure you, Dave Portnoy isn’t going to hire you because you yelled at me. So save your comments.
