GM Howie Roseman gives update on quarterback position, Eagles meet with top QB prospect

The 2022 NFL Combine is set to get underway tomorrow with eyes on several quarterbacks.
Even though Ole Miss QB Matt Corral is recovering from an ankle injury sustained in the Sugar Bowl, he still made the trip to Indianapolis to speak at the combine.
One team that Corral has spoken with is the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been vocal about their commitment to Jalen Hurts:
QB Matt Corral said he had an informal interview with the #Eagles. Met with QB coach Brian Johnson. Said he feels he has a great understanding of their offense.

Corral threw for 3349 yards, 20 TDs and 5 INTs in his junior season at Ole Miss.
As for the quarterback currently on the roster, Eagles GM Howie Roseman stated in today’s press conference that nothing has changed with Hurts’ status as the starter:
Howie Roseman on Jalen Hurts still being the starter in 2022: “There’s no doubt about it.”

Says that nothing has changed with their commitment and how the team feels about Jalen.
Roseman also relayed that a big focus this offseason will be addressing needs in free agency while filling the remaining holes through the draft.
Head coach Nick Sirianni gave his vote of confidence for Hurts as well:
#Eagles Nick Sirianni concludes his session by doubling down on his QB1: “There’s no question Jalen Hurts has the arm strength to make all the throws. He has amazing ability to create. We just want to see him to continue to get better with his accuracy and decision making.” pic.twitter.com/OLvC6Xz2D8

Reporters did bring up the endless Deshaun Watson rumors, to which Roseman replied, “We have Jalen Hurts.”
A lot can happen between now and the NFL Draft on April 28th. But, for now, the Eagles have the mindset of building the roster around their young quarterback.
