ESPN names Haason Reddick to the Eagles as the best free agency signing

The Eagles’ defense got a huge boost this offseason with the addition of Haason Reddick.
Jonathan Gannon brings in a versatile edge rusher who can be the key piece for this group going into next season.
It doesn’t look like Eagles fans are the only ones who realize this, with several others impressed by the move. ESPN gave out awards for the best moves this offseason, and several analysts think Reddick was the best free agency signing.

Les Bowen and Seth Walder named him as their choice for the best signing, with some of the other analysts listing Allen Robinson and La’El Collins.
“He can set the edge as a strongside linebacker in the Eagles’ base defense and then drop down to rush the passer in sub packages. Reddick has an electric first step, with the ability to bend/flatten off the edge. Philly landed a disruptor here.” – Les Bowen
“Reddick has a ton of green flags: back-to-back seasons of double-digit sack production, produced for multiple teams, a top-10 pass rush win rate last year, and he’s only 27. It made him, in my estimation, the top free-agent pass-rusher available. And while Reddick’s contract wasn’t cheap, it also wasn’t overly expensive at what could be either $30 million over two years or $45 million over three.” – Seth Walder.
Reddick is sure to be a great piece for this defense next season, and Howie Roseman has made sure to bring in some other new faces to help him out. Kyzir White was a solid under-the-radar move, and he should be the starting middle linebacker for Philadelphia, who can also play on the outside if needed.
