Roster Moves: Phillies make final cuts, Opening Day Roster is officially set

The Phillies have made their final cuts of Spring Training. Nick Maton has been optioned to Triple-A, while Andrew Bellatti and Michael Kelly have been reassigned to minor league camp, according to the team.
Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott were told this morning that they both made the Opening Day roster, which confirmed that Maton wouldn’t be starting with the team on Opening Day. Maton hit .350/.435/.450 in 20 at-bats in Clearwater, tallying four runs scored, seven hits, two doubles, and one RBI.
Andrew Bellatti and Michael Kelly have both been reassigned to minor league camp. Kelly finished the spring with a 5.87 ERA, letting up 10 hits and 5 earned runs in 7.2 innings pitched. Bellatti tallied a 3.38 ERA over 5.1 innings pitched, allowing five hits, two earned runs, and striking out three batters.
These final cuts officially secure the 28-man roster for Opening Day on Friday vs the Athletics. Here’s where the team currently stands.

Odubel Herrera, Sam Coonrod, Ryan Sherriff, JoJo Romero, and Kent Emanuel will all start the year on the Injured List. Zack Wheeler is expected to make his first start of the season but will remain in Clearwater on Thursday to pitch in a minor-league scrimmage.
