Giants strike back, sign Eagles CB to replace James Bradberry

After losing James Bradberry to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week, the New York Giants struck back, signing former Eagles CB Michael Jacquet.
Jacquet joined Philly ahead of the 2020 season as an undrafted free agent from Louisiana. He appeared in seven games for the Eagles due to injuries before being let go during training camp last summer.
Strait-Jacquet is best known for his performance against the Dallas Cowboys a few years back, where he allowed seven receptions for 182 yards in one of the worst cornerback performances in recent memory.

As it stands, the Giants’ projected CB2 is third-round pick Cordale Flott, so there’s a legitimate chance that Jacquet could be starting next season.
Between losing Bradberry to a divisional rival, having a higher dead-cap hit on the contract, and the Eagles gaining a compensatory pick if he walks, this situation can’t get worse for the Giants.
