Former All-Pro WR (and soon-to-be Philly resident) predicts NFC East winner in 2022

After undergoing a roster makeover this offseason, the Eagles are garnering attention as dark-horse contenders in 2022.

Here’s a look at their key acquisitions:

On paper, the Eagles look poised to compete for the division crown next season. Former All-Pro WR (and soon-to-be Philadelphia resident) Chad Johnson seems to agree with that sentiment:

Johnson’s newfound love for Philadelphia is a welcome sight, especially with the ignorant narrative that’s been painted over the city and its fans.

Fandom aside, it’s easy to understand why the Eagles could challenge Dallas for the NFC East title.

While the Cowboys have the best quarterback in the division, they lost impact players such as Amari Cooper, La’el Collins and Randy Gregory this offseason. The Eagles, on the other hand, surrounded second-year starter Jalen Hurts with premium talent and have vastly improved on the defensive side of the ball.

After a turbulent 2021 campaign, all eyes will be on Hurts in what may be his final audition to win over the Eagles franchise. If his flashes from OTA’s translate to the regular season, Philadelphia can continue to build the team rather than find a new QB next spring.
