Also elevated LB Christian Elliss from the practice squad for Sunday's game.
In a corresponding move, Philadelphia has placed star safety CJ Gardner-Johnson on injured reserve. CGJ will miss at least the next four games and can return as early as Week 17 vs. New Orleans, his former team.
Davis’ return couldn’t come at a better time, with the NFL’s second-leading rusher, Derrick Henry, coming to town. Henry currently leads the league in broken tackles (25) and has 563 yards after contact this season.
The Eagles have also called up LB Christian Ellis from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
