WATCH: Eagles CB Darius Slay says Justin Fields is “magnificent” after facing him in Week 15

There weren’t that many interesting storylines heading into the Eagles’ Week 15 matchup in Chicago, aside the head-to-head contest at the quarterback position.
Jalen Hurts is living proof that with the right coaching and pieces around him, Justin Fields could be Chicago’s first franchise quarterback in decades.
The Eagles defense got a taste of Fields’ potential on Sunday, where the second-year QB racked up 247 total yards and two touchdowns.
Darius Slay sat down for his weekly Big Play Slay show with The Volume to recap the Eagles-Bears contest. In regards to Fields’ play, the Eagles corner had nothing but great things to say about how he performed.
Eagles CB1 on Fields
“Everything I heard about Justin Fields is true,” Slay said. “Yesterday was my first time playing him. Seeing him in live action and not on the film. And when I say he is a real true life highlight film, he’s a highlight film. He’s magnificent out there.”
Slay also went on the discuss the best play of the day for Fields, his 39-yard scramble in the second quarter to set up his team’s first touchdown of the game.
That play was flatout ridiculous.
Fields still has a ways to go as a thrower, but once he gets some legitimate weapons and a decent offensive line in front of him, he’ll be a problem.
