Injury Report: Eagles reveal Jalen Hurts’ status for Week 17 vs. New Orleans

It looks like it’ll be Gardner Minshew under center for at least another week.
The Eagles released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup vs. New Orleans and have QB Jalen Hurts listed as “doubtful.”

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that significant strides were made this week, but the Eagles prioritize their QB’s health and safety above all else. Hurts returned to practice on Thursday and Friday but was limited on both days.
To maintain a competitive advantage, head coach Nick Sirianni didn’t give any hints as to who would be starting on Sunday:
“We’re still sorting through that,” head coach Nick Sirianni said on Friday morning. “Obviously, Jalen had a good practice yesterday and went out and looked like he did some things really well. So still going to sort through all those things. Haven’t decided anything yet. We have a couple days. Still got time.”
The Eagles need to win one of their two remaining games to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC. A victory against the Saints would secure Philly a first-round bye and improve the draft selection they received from New Orleans in a trade last offseason.
Minshew completed 24 of 40 passes last week for 355 yards, two TDs, and two INTs. The offense racked up 34 points and 442 total yards; if they didn’t commit four turnovers, Philly probably would have left Dallas with the W.
