Jalen Hurts: “I didn’t walk through that fire just to smell the smoke”

During the Maxwell Football Club National Awards Gala Thursday night, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was awarded the Bert Bell Professional Player of the Year. And of course, he dropped some heat during his acceptance speech.
Jalen Hurts: “I didn’t walk through that fire just to smell the smoke.”
“Y’all don’t get used to that other thing we did,” Hurts said referring to the Super Bowl LVII loss. “We plan on finishing moving forward…. I know y’all love the game, but I love it a lot. I’m never ever satisfied. I know coach Sirianni, everyone in that building, we’re all looking forward at what’s to come. It’s only the beginning, like mom said. I know I didn’t walk through that fire just to smell the smoke.”
Jalen Hurts is a walking soundbite.
I really need someone to compile every cold ass quote Hurts has ever dropped into a video so I can play it for myself every morning. Could potentially cure my seasonal depression for good.
