Eagles WR DeVonta Smith set to make his debut on NFL Network’s Top-100 Players list

After just two seasons in the NFL, Eagles wideout DeVonta Smith has already cemented himself as a top-tier pass catcher.
Since his rookie season, Eagles fans knew Smitty was going to be an issue for opposing defenses. Now, it seems like the 24-year-old receiver has gained the respect of his peers as well.
For the past 12 years, NFL Network has annually run their Top-100 Players list (as voted on by players) just before the next football season gets underway. With the first episode set to air on Monday, we’ve already gotten a sneak peak at who will kickoff this year’s rankings.
Eagles WR DeVonta Smith comes in at No. 100

NFL+ subscribers can view the remaining players from 99-91. Unfortunately, NFL+ will house this entire countdown, so unless you want to pay $39.99 for a season pass, you’re shit out of luck. It used to air on NFL Network where everyone with cable could watch. In the age of streaming, things just can’t be that easy I suppose.
Smith’s placement on the list shouldn’t surprise anyone. If anything, I’m sure there are a handful of Eagles fans who thinks he should rank higher. Smitty accumulated 1,196 receiving yards on 95 receptions last season, while hauling in seven touchdowns.
He earned a 80.4 Pro Football Focus grade for his efforts in 2022, good for 16th among 113 qualifying wideouts. Smith’s 81.1 receiving grade ranked 18th-best out of 113 wide receivers.
Even though this is Smith’s first time cracking the top-100, it certainly won’t be his last.
