On a recent episode of FS1’s Undisputed, host Skip Bayless along with Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin brought up what they call the “Taylor Swift Effect” as the reason for the Kansas City Chiefs recent struggles.

We’ll get to the actual clip in a second but we need to talk about the tweet above. I have no idea who Charles R Downs is but he sounds like a total douche bag saying the Chiefs are “America’s 2024 warning” and to not take anything “Taylor Swift says seriously”.

You’re literally watching Undisputed and filming a ridiculous segment by a bunch of clowns on FS1 who somehow are blaming the Chiefs 9-6 record on Taylor Swift.

As for the clip itself, go figure that Skip Bayless and company are going with the “Blame Taylor Swift” narrative now that the Chiefs suck. Honestly, you had to know this was coming the second the Chiefs slipped up and started losing a few winnable football games with Taylor Swift in attendance.
The “Blame Taylor” narrative was the most predictable part of the 2023 NFL season and this is a league with the Dallas Cowboys who are always an easy pick to stink up the playoffs.
This is what mainstream media sports talk has become. A bunch of dudes, just making up ridiculous storylines to drive engagement instead of actually talking about anything that’s remotely relevant to the topic itself.
I mean seriously, Michael Irvin was nose deep in mountains of cocaine and hookers right next to the Dallas Cowboys practice facility banging an ungodly amount of hookers (while also winning Super Bowls) and now he’s on national television saying that Taylor Swift is responsible for the Chiefs losing.
I guess we’ll just blame Taylor Swift and ignore Andy Reid the entire coaching staff, the front office, and all of the Chiefs players who have underperformed this season.
That makes sense, right?

Honestly, I think that Taylor Swift, a bonafide super start who sells out arenas on year-long world tours while being a self-made billionaire with Hall of Fame level work ethic and talent would be a better offensive coordinator than Matt Nagy this season.
At least you know she’ll put pen to paper and figure shit out instead of trotting out to the podium after losing to the Las Vegas Raiders mumbling “We’ve got to be better” to all the rats in the media. Hell, I even have faith that she could turn Kadarius Toney into an NFL caliber wide receiver.

Also, what’s with all the MAGA dudes hating on Taylor Swift? Chill out dorks. You all pretend to be “protectors of America” but the second a pop star comes out against Trump you relentlessly attack them.
How does that make sense? Fair and free elections? Freedom of speech? The right to vote? You have to reconsider your words and who you’re attacking on social media. You’re all a bunch of old creepy dudes tweeting about Taylor fucking Swift. Get it together. It’s embarrassing.

I keep getting sidetracked because the group of losers posting this shit highlight so many easy points to hate them but the second video is literally just Taylor Swift at a Chiefs game rooting for Travis Kelce and the boys like pretty much every single American does with their respective fandom on NFL Sunday.
Swift is literally one of the most well behaved football fans I’ve ever witnessed. I’m still trying to figure out what the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift “antics” are from the video above. If anything, the national media has made their relationship the focal point of the NFL season. Those two were just doing their own thing and literally can’t do anything without being stalked by the media.
On top of that, Taylor Swift is in Kansas City where the Mahomes clan has embarrassed their franchise quarterback in more ways than one over the past several years. What are we even talking about?

In all seriousness, anyone who actually thinks that Taylor Swift is to blame for the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent struggles is simply an idiot. There are tons of celebrity girlfriends and wives in the league and not a single one of them should ever be held accountable because their significant others are shitting the bed on the football field.
We are talking about grown men and professional athletes. Having a few girls in the stands rooting for them doesn’t create an “effect” on their performance. It’s really not that hard to comprehend.
Grow up weirdos.
And please, don’t even take this like I’m a huge Taylor Swift supporter. I said back in November that if she showed up to the Eagles-Chiefs Monday Night Football game wearing anything BUT Eagles gear then the city of Philadelphia should ban her from ever performing here again.
