AJ Brown Slander: Philly media is discussing trading WR1 for no reason

You guys know AJ brown, right? Pretty good ball player. Elite, even. Unfortunately for reasonable, level headed Eagles fans (like myself) who can recognize that, there’s a faction of traitors in Philadelphia who, for no logical reason, just don’t think Brown should be an Eagles any longer. Those people are stupid – also referred to as the Philly media.

Usually, hot take season is reserved for the slower months of the sports calendar, typically around May or June. But luckily for us, hot take season came a little early this year, because 94WIP – among other local media outlets – are making, “let’s discuss trading AJ Brown this offseason,” a thing. I want to throw up just thinking about it.

It started with the aforementioned WIP, who Tweeted out this poll Tuesday afternoon.

At the time of writing, the poll has 14,574 votes, with 85 percent of them going towards “No,” and the remaining 15 percent going to “Yes.”

Apparently, this poll was mustered up by loyal TLL supporter Jack Fritz, which really is a damn shame. We have a lot of respect for Fritz here; he likes a good amount of our Tweets, has followed us from the very beginning, etc. But as our brand suggests, we stand for liberty, justice, and above all else, correcting horrible takes. This doozy from ole Fritz cannot go unpunished, because not only did it rile up the great people of Philadelphia, it influenced other local media outlets to start discussing the possibility of trading AJ Brown, too.

Here’s JAKIB Sports talking about trading AJ Brown for no reason

I’ve said it before, but I feel obligated to reiterate it everytime I talk about other people’s takes. Hot takes don’t offend me. I actually like the occasional hot take if it’s juicy enough. But this shit is just awful and took very little brain power to muster up. It equates to – AJ Brown mad at the media, therefore AJ Brown mad at Eagles, therefore Eagles trade him. It’s not thoughtful, it doesn’t get me thinking, it’s just saying shit for the sake of saying shit.

What it seems to come down to is that Fritz – along everyone else who thinks the Eagles should trade WR1 – believes Brown is a locker room cancer. And to that I ask, what makes you think that? Because cameras caught him and a few other players arguing in Week 2? Is it because he didn’t want to talk to the media for a few weeks while the local media was busy slandering him? Or is it because the “Big J” journalists over at the Philly Inquirer told you to think that?

It’s all just speculation by bored Eagles fans, that’s it. There’s nothing legitimate out there that could tell you, without a doubt, AJ Brown is bad for this locker room.

The Eagles aren’t going to trade Brown this offseason. Not only because they would take on a dead cap hit of $42M, but because he’s a top-five wideout in the NFL and you don’t trade a complete game changer in the prime of his career. We mocked the Titans for doing just that when the Eagles got him, and now we’re talking about doing the same thing. It’s so dumb on so many levels.

If you hadn’t seen all the AJ Brown talk saturating social media today and this is your first time hearing about it, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ruin your day like that. Unfortunately, I’m plagued with a sickness that forces me to react to anything related to Philadelphia sports, so I had to write this article. The good news is, at least you got to read about how it’s actually not a real thing, but rather, a figment the Philly media’s imagination.
