Liam Castellanos arrives at Spring Training with his dad, Phillies baseball is back at last
Phillies baseball is officially back, ladies and gentlemen. The team has returned to Clearwater for Spring Training, but one arrival in particular let Phillies fans know this season is fully underway: Liam Castellanos.
Liam Castellanos rocked up to Clearwater with his pops to ring in the new season:
Nick Castellanos… And Liam arrive for spring training.

Every day is take your son to work day for Nick. So cool pic.twitter.com/wBeo4J61kv
Of course, the real baseball season doesn’t begin until June 1, but this is more of a symbolic start. Liam has been a fixture of the Phillies organization since Nick signed with the team, and that doesn’t appear to be changing in 2024.
At this point, he’s sort of the Punxsutawney Phil of Phillies baseball. Kind of a weird comparison, I know, but it’s so crazy it might just be the most accurate one I’ve drawn (it’s not).
Some have been less than kind about Liam Castellanos’ constant presence, and let me be clear, those people suck. If you’re asking shit like, “Why isn’t he in school?” you’re both ignorant and no fun. 1. It’s a Saturday, and 2. the kid lives in Florida. Get a life, bozo.
Also, let me take this moment to defend Punxsutawney Phil in light of all the slander going around about him. Yes, he predicted an early spring, and, yes, it’s been snowing like crazy since Groundhog Day. But it’s still mid-February.
If you’re expecting spring weather in Philadelphia in mid-February, you might actually be stupid, regardless of what an omniscient rodent tells you.
In closing, that Wawa sweatshirt goes hard. Happy baseball season, everyone.
