This report came right around the same time we learned that the Eagles were fielding calls on DE Josh Sweat and are open to trading him. Not to mention that a few weeks back, the team granted Haason Reddick permission to seek a trade this offseason.
Huff, 25, is a rising star as a pass rusher. In 2023, he set career highs in sacks (10), QB hits (21), pressures (67), and hurries (45). Although he didn’t technically start any games last season for the New York Jets, he was a constant in their pass rushing rotation and arguably their most effective pass rusher overall.
Per Pro Football Focus, Huff ended the season as the tenth-best pass rusher in the league, earning an 86.8 pass rushing grade. He finished the year as the 24th-best overall edge defender as well, ending the season with an overall grade of 79.7.
He’s primed for a bigger role, which is exactly what the Eagles will give him if he eventually ends up here.
