Eagles fans love Eagles road trips

Best Eagles road trips in 2024, ranked

The Philadelphia Eagles schedule for 2024 has officially leaked. While all 17 games are important in an NFL season, Birds fans travel better than any other fanbase, so this blog is dedicated to finding the best Eagles road trips on the schedule so you can start some concrete planning before the season starts.

Here’s a full list of Eagles road trips for this upcoming season:

Before we jump in, I know the prospect of organizing a trip can seem daunting. Fortunately, we at The Liberty Line have partnered with Phans of Philly, the premier organizers of Eagles road trips. They handle everything from flights, to hotels, to tailgates, so all you have to do is make sure you’re at the airport on time and they’ll take care of the rest.

Now that the official schedule is released be sure to bookmark their Eagles road trips page. They have packages for every road trip available now, so be sure to act fast and get your deposit in ASAP.

Not sure which trip you want to go on? You’re in the right place. Let’s get into the definitive Eagles road trip rankings.

1. Green Bay Packers – Sao Paolo, Brasil – Week 1 @ 9:15 PM

If you thought any other game would be at the top of this list, I don’t even know what to say to you. These NFL International games usually wouldn’t move the needle for me, but the chance to go catch the Birds in Sao Paolo is too good to pass up.

Arena Corinthians is a beautiful venue, Sao Paolo is a crazy town, and, well, Brazilians are some of the most fun-loving people in the entire world. This is quite literally the easiest pick for first overall on my Eagles road trip rankings.

Plus, if you book with Phans of Philly, you’ll get to spend three nights in beautiful Rio De Janeiro. Here’s some more information on the full package:

Each option will begin its stay in Rio De Janeiro! Where we will stay 3 nights right across from Copacabana Beach! For some of us, this might be our one and only visit to Brazil. Making the extra trip to Rio is worthwhile! Between the beautiful beaches, many restaurants, and well known tourist attractions. There is something for everyone!

The remaining 2 nights will be in Sao Paulo. We will be staying at highly rated hotels in the Jardins district. Which is considered the safest neighborhood in Sao Paulo. Also, walking distance to one of the main roads Paulista Avenue. Both hotel options are rated 100/100 on Trip Advisor Reviews for walking.

2. New Orleans Saints – Week 3 @ 1:00 PM

What’s there to say about NOLA that hasn’t already been said? It’s a dirty town, and one of my personal favorite cities to visit in America.

Bourbon Street and the French Quarter are obvious must-visits, and if you like good food as much as I do, you’re in for a treat. Plus, when I was down there, I had the chance to take in a Saints game, and you can just buy beer on the street as you walk down to the stadium. Nothing gets me going quite like an open container.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Week 4 @ 1:00 PM

The Birds are going back to Tampa this year. It was a successful outing for the Eagles in the regular season (we don’t talk about the return trip). Birds fans took over Raymond James Stadium, making up 59% of a sold out crowd.

Phans of Philly flew us out to Tampa last season and, even though we missed our flight like a bunch of morons, we had the time of our lives when we found our way to Clearwater Beach. The festivities leading up to the game were a blast, and the tailgate, while a hot one, was one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of attending. Here’s a glimpse at the Tampa Takeover:

4. Los Angeles Rams – Week 12 @ 8:20 PM

Another return trip, the Eagles head back out to LA to take on the Rams. Usually I try to take weather into account for these rankings, but with the City of Angels, the weather is perfect all year round.

TLL was fortunate to go on this Eagles road trip with Phans of Philly last year, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I was skeptical of how nice SoFi stadium would be, but it exceeded even the loftiest of expectations.

Traditional tailgating isn’t really a thing out there, which I wasn’t thrilled with, but Phans of Philly basically had a whole VIP section with tons of food and drink options from a bunch of different vendors. Plus, we were set up in beautiful Santa Monica, which is like Kensington with palm trees.

5. Cincinnati Bengals – Week 8 @ 4:25 PM

We’ve officially reached our less desirable destinations for those who aren’t football sickos. Cincinnati fans are great, and they’ve got a hell of a team, but the city is far from a destination.

Even so, it’ll be one of the better Eagles road trips to go on if you just want to take in a great football game against a team with a great fanbase. It’s not too late in the season either, so you ideally won’t be freezing your nuts off.

6. Baltimore Ravens – Week 13 @ 4:25

Baltimore doesn’t jump off the page initially, but I think when it’s all said and done it could elevate higher on the list.

It’s another city that may not be a vacation destination, but great football and a passionate fanbase elevates it as an Eagles road trip option.

7. Dallas Cowboys – Week 10 @ 4:25 PM

Ahhhh Jerry World. I was tempted to slot this higher on the list mostly because I’m so morbidly curious to see that hulking monstrosity for myself. There is also something to be said about the thrill of being behind enemy lines.

Regardless, we’re in Dallas every year until either the league folds or the heat death of the universe occurs, whichever comes first. My money is on the latter. As far as Eagles road trips go, I’m not in a rush to get there.

8. New York Giants – Week 7 @ 1:00 PM

Terrible. If you want to watch players get injured by horrendous turf, this is the place for you. Sure, it’s nice to watch the Eagles beat the Giants in their own house, but MetLife is basically a concrete mausoleum where ligaments and tendons go to die.

9. Washington Commanders – Week 16 @ 1:00 PM

Yuck.

Merrill Reese is right. I’d rather die. Josh Harris can go to hell as well.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
