WATCH: Bryce Harper crushes 100th home run at Citizens Bank Park wearing a custom Wawa headband and cleats
The Bryce Harper School of Pandering is simply unmatched.
The Philadelphia Phillies got back in the win column last night with a dominant 8-0 over the Cleveland Guardians at Citizens Bank Park. At the plate, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos all hit homers to give their rookie pitcher Tyler Phillips plenty of run support – not like he needed it.
The South Jersey native and lifelong Phillies fan tossed a four-hit, complete game shutout to improve to 3-0 on the season. Phillips allowed four hits on 105 pitches (71 strikes) in nine scoreless innings. He struck out four and walked one.
Harper, got things rolling for the Phillies in the fourth inning with a two-run home run.

The home run marked Bryce Harper’s 100th at Citizens Bank Park. He became the third player in CBP history to reach 100 home runs, joining Ryan Howard (198) and Chase Utley (129).
Citizens Bank Park is the second ballpark Harper has hit 100 homers in, also doing so at Nationals Park (100 HR). Harper is the only 13th player in MLB history with 100+ home runs at multiple ballparks. [Stats & Info]
What made it even better, was Harper’s attire for the night. Harper was rocking a custom Wawa-themed headband and cleats with the slogan, “Gottahava Wawa” replaced with “Gottahavea Harper.”

Back in June, it was announced that Under Armour created Wawa-inspired ‘Gottahava Harper’ baseball cleats for Harper – inspired by his love for Wawa. In addition to the custom cleats, Under Armour has designed custom t-shirts that are currently being sold online right here.

Bryce Harper is no stranger to personalizing his MLB outfits
Earlier this week, Harper’s 1-of-1 baseball card featuring his custom ‘RIP Harambe’ bat knob was finally discovered. Posh Sports recently hit Bryce Harper’s 1-of-1 “RIP Harambe” bat knob in 2024 Topps Tier One Baseball – one of the most coveted cards in the collection.

Harper also rocked custom baseball bats from Victus Sports – located in King of Prussia, PA when the Phillies traveled across the pond to face the New York Mets in the MLB London Series earlier this season.
