WATCH: Joe Burrow is very happy Fletcher Cox is no longer on the Eagles

The last time the Eagles and Bengals faced off, Joe Burrow was abused all afternoon long.

Philly sacked Burrow eight times during the contest and hit him a grand total of 18 times. Fletcher Cox was one of the many Eagles who reached Burrow on the day and the Bengals QB hasn’t forgotten about it.

During his weekly press conference, he was very thankful the Eagles no longer employ Cox.

“He’s a great player and always was,” Burrow said of Cox. “Always disruptive, so I’m glad he’s retired.”

When asked if there was a part of him that wanted to get back at Cox and Co., Joe Burrow made his feelings clear.

“No. I hope he’s still sitting on his couch, enjoying a nice steak dinner or something and staying off the field.”

The Eagles have gotten to the quarterback 19 times this season, tied for seventh among all teams. They’re fresh off an eight-sack performance last week against New York. If they can keep this momentum going, Burrow could be having deja vu on Sunday.
