Nick Foles will be the Eagles’ honorary captain for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game

Yeah, the Eagles aren’t losing this weekend.

Philly legend and Super Bowl 52 MVP Nick Foles announced he will be the honorary captain for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Commanders.

“I’m excited to be back in the Linc,” Foles said in a video released by the team. “I’m excited to watch the Eagles play. But most importantly one of my favorite moments as an Eagle was in the NFC Championship Game and the energy the crowd brought.

There was nothing ever like it. I never experienced anything like that in my life. It was amazing. So bring it this weekend, bring the energy, be rowdy, yell those Eagles chanted. And, of course, Fly Eagles Fly.”

Foles has the most memorable NFC Championship Game in franchise history, going 26-33 for 352 yards and 3 TDs in a 38-7 rout over the Vikings in 2017. He outdueled Tom Brady two weeks later to clinch Philadelphia’s first Super Bowl title.

Eagles fans are hoping for another dominant performance against a red-hot Jayden Daniels.

Foles officially retired as a Philadelphia Eagle and was honored during the Week 2 Monday Night Football matchup against the Falcons.
