Report: Eagles interview college associate for QB coach vacancy
The Philadelphia Eagles are poking around the college scene to find their next quarterbacks coach.
According to Syracuse on 247, the Eagles have interviewed Nunzio Campanile, who served as Syracuse’s Associate Head Coach and Quarterbacks Coach last season.

This vacancy comes after Doug Nussmeier, the Eagles’ previous QBs coach, left to join Kellen Moore on the New Orleans Saints’ coaching staff.
A North Jersey native, Campanile has experience as an interim head coach at both Rutgers and Syracuse. Before transitioning to the college level, he built a powerhouse program at Bergen Catholic, one of the most well-known high school football programs in the country.
His brother, Anthony Campanile, was recently named defensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
During the 2024 season, Syracuse, led by head coach Fran Brown, finished with a 10-3 record. Campanile played a major role in the development of Kyle McCord, a South Jersey native who starred at St. Joe’s Prep in Philadelphia before transferring from Ohio State.
Under Campanile’s guidance, McCord set an ACC single-season passing record with 4,779 yards.
The Eagles have had a rotating door at the QB coach position since Jalen Hurts took over as the franchise quarterback, with Press Taylor (2020), Brian Johnson (2021-22), Alex Tanney (2023), and Doug Nussmeier (2024) all previously holding the job.
With the Eagles promoting Kevin Patullo to offensive coordinator and hiring Parks Frazier, another close confidant of Nick Sirianni, to fill Patullo’s old role, bringing in an outside perspective could be beneficial for offensive collaboration.
Congrats to @kylemccord16 the best season in ACC history! Was an incredible honor to coach you every day! @CuseFootball https://t.co/WyAZWFFYOF
