Report: Full terms of Bryce Huff trade finally revealed
After about a week of speculation regarding Bryce Huff’s move to San Francisco, we’ve finally learned the actual terms of the trade.
CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones was the first to report the details. The Eagles will receive a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick, which could become a fourth-rounder if certain criteria are met.
Bryce Huff trade details revealed
It’s unclear why it took so long for the actual draft compensation to be revealed — or why we still don’t know the specific conditions needed for the pick to become a fourth-rounder. The trade is still pending a physical, so perhaps we’ll get the full details once that’s done.
While Howie Roseman is undoubtedly the best GM in football, even he has a few blemishes on his record. This Bryce Huff signing and subsequent trade is certainly one of them.
If Huff bounces back in San Francisco, the 49ers are getting a steal. The Eagles, while they’ve had great success with mid-round picks, are essentially losing this trade no matter what. Fortunately, Howie managed to soften the blow by getting San Francisco to take on some of Huff’s guaranteed money.
Ultimately, this deal was probably best for both sides.
