The guy is basically screaming from a rooftop that he wants to be an Eagle. He’s said it outright numerous times this offseason. Still, he remains on the open market without a new home.

Now that training camp is underway, there’s been some chatter about adding to the Eagles secondary. Andrew Mukuba has been on and off the field with a shoulder injury, and no one’s been able to really hold down the CB2 spot opposite of Quinyon Mitchell.

If Simmons signs with the Birds, not only does he instantly fix the safety position, it’ll allow Cooper DeJean to play on the outside potentially. That may not be the most ideal situation, but I have faith in Copp sliding to the outside if necessary.

If Justin Simmons gets his way, he’ll be in midnight green by Week 1.
