Travis Kelce claims he’s past Eagles’ Super Bowl rout, which is exactly what someone still hurting would say

Travis Kelce doesn’t want to talk about Super Bowl LIX anymore. In fact, he says he’s already “thrown that thing in the trash.” Which is hilarious, because every time he opens his mouth about it, he sounds like a guy still scrubbing green paint off his dreams.

Look — the Eagles rolled into New Orleans, smacked the Chiefs in the mouth, and sent them back to Missouri with nothing but a crushed three-peat and Kelce’s little sideline meltdown on national TV. You’d think that would fuel a guy like Travis Kelce. But apparently not. He told ESPN’s Nate Taylor that he’s “moved on” and was “pretty focused on this year in the offseason.” Translation: Please don’t ask me about the game where we got cooked and the internet turned me into a meme for two weeks.

Travis Kelce Is in Great Shape, But So Is His Denial

To be fair, Kelce’s been grinding. Dude hasn’t missed a practice all offseason, and Chiefs camp reports say he’s flying around like it’s 2016 again. Andy Reid even said he “looks like he’s 20.” Cool. But all the push-ups in the world aren’t going to undo what the Eagles did to him in February.

The fact is, Travis Kelce can act like he’s over it all he wants — but you don’t start making public declarations about “throwing things in the trash” unless that loss is still rattling around in your head.

Super Bowl LIX: A Turning Point for Kelce and the Chiefs

Let’s be real — that game might’ve been the end of an era. The Chiefs were chasing history, aiming for the first modern-day three-peat, and instead ran into a buzzsaw named Jalen Hurts and a defense that made Kelce and Mahomes look average. And now? The dynasty talk’s on life support, while Philly’s gearing up for another run.

So yeah, Travis Kelce can keep saying he’s not using the loss as motivation. But in Philly, we know better. That game changed things. For him. For the Chiefs. For us. And we’re not throwing it in the trash — we’re framing it. Because Super Bowl LIX wasn’t just a win. It was a statement.

And based on how Kelce’s still talking? The message got through. Loud and clear.
