Eagles Snap Counts: Fred Johnson saves the O-Line, Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter dominate in the trenches
The Eagles are 3-0 after beating the Rams, and for once, the snap counts actually tell the story of a team figuring its shit out.
The first half was ugly. The offense looked like it was running through wet cement.
Clearly, adjustments were made at halftime. Suddenly things didn’t look so bleak, mostly because Fred Johnson came in for Matt Pryor and immediately gave the right side of the line a pulse. Lane Johnson’s out with a stinger, and it turns out the guy backing him up isn’t Pryor, it’s Fred. That’s settled.
Jordan Davis plays hero, Eagles stun Rams at the buzzer 33-26
Eagles Snap Counts – Offense
Jalen Hurts hasn’t missed a snap, Jordan Mailata hasn’t missed a snap, Cam Jurgens hasn’t missed a snap, Tyler Steen hasn’t missed a snap.
The core’s holding strong. Saquon Barkley basically played until his legs fell off. Sunday was his heaviest workload as an Eagle and was the only running back to touch the ball. AJ Dillon logged just five snaps, zero touches. If you’re calling coward’s draws, maybe let the big guy eat instead of risking your franchise back on wasted plays.
The Eagles actually remembered that A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith exist, and in shocking news to absolutely no one except Kevin Patullo, the offense got better.
Jahan Dotson saw 78% of snaps, his biggest workload of the season, which was at least a step in the right direction even if his production wasn’t there.
Dallas Goedert was back and looked fine. Grant Calcaterra got buried down to 19% after proving once again he can’t block a soul, and John Metchie made his two snaps count with a catch for eight yards.

Snap Counts – Eagles Defense
Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Reed Blankenship, and Zack Baun continue to never leave the field, which is pretty insane. Jalen Carter played 91% of snaps just a week after Fangio said his conditioning needed work. That’s what happens when you’re a freak.
Jordan Davis logged his second-highest total of the year and we all know how dominant he was during yesterday’s game.
Jordan Davis reached 18.59 mph on the blocked field goal touchdown return
Andrew Mukuba played a little less than usual, Nolan Smith once again led the edge guys in playing time, and Adoree’ Jackson had his snaps cut after getting banged up. Moro Ojomo keeps dropping every week—90% to 70% to 50%.
At this rate, he’ll be down to zero by Week 5.
Za’Darius Smith played a bit more but didn’t register a stat. Sydney Brown saw his most action of the season, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. showed out on special teams with four tackles.

Snap Counts Eagles Special Teams + Inactives
Marcus Epps used up his final practice squad elevation, so the Birds are gonna have to make a decision there. Tank Bigsby still hasn’t played an offensive snap since being traded here. Mac McWilliams barely saw the field.

Inactives: Will Shipley, Tanner McKee, Drew Kendall, Kenyon Green, Patrick Johnson, Azeez Ojulari, Ogbo Okoronkwo. Shipley could be back in Week 4.
McKee’s been the emergency QB the last two weeks, but he might slide back into QB2 when he’s ready. Weird roster construction though. Seven edge rushers and three of them healthy scratches. That’s not sustainable. Someone’s getting cut eventually.
Snap Count Notes:
The Birds benched Pryor and immediately got better. They went heavier on 11 personnel, leaned into their best weapons, and let their stars carry the game.
Carter and Davis are wrecking shops inside, Mitchell looks like he’s been in the league five years already, and the Eagles are slowly trimming the fat from their rotations.
The Rams game was a grind, but the snap counts tell you this team is trending in the right direction, mostly because Fred Johnson saved everyone from another four quarters of Pryor.
