Eagles Road Trip Guide: Green Bay – Week 10
If you’re planning to make the trip to Green Bay to watch the Eagles take on the Packers in Week 10, but have no idea what to do when you get there, you’ve come to the right place.
This is the comprehensive Eagles Road Trip Guide: Green Bay edition.
Of course, if you want to skip the planning and let the professionals handle everything, you’d be silly not to book with Phans of Philly. They handle flights, hotels, game tickets, and even have an all-inclusive tailgate. Plus, they always put on an event or two to keep the vibes rolling through the weekend into gameday.
Now, to what you came here for. I’m sure most of you heading to Green Bay for the first time are probably thinking to yourselves, “What’s there to do in Green Bay, anyway?” And, quite frankly, I was too when I sat down to do my research.
Fortunately, if there’s one thing I know about Wisconsin, it’s that they love their beer. And cheese, too, but that’d make it two things. Needless to say, the midwestern bar vibes are some of the most immaculate on offer in the whole United States. Pair that with some good, hearty eats, and you just might leave Green Bay with a different impression.
Another great thing about this trip is that you’re headed to a real-deal football town. The Packers are quite literally all they have around there. The fans are passionate and allegedly very friendly, so try to enjoy going head-to-head with a team and a fanbase that can keep up with us. Not many can sniff the Eagles in either department.
So, without further ado, here are my recommendations for your weekend in God’s country.
The Sardine Can – Olde Main Street
The Sardine Can is pure Wisconsin in bar form, unpretentious, loud, and proud. It’s the kind of place where the beer is cold, the music is live, and the dance floor fills up before you realize what’s happening. Expect a crowd that’s here to have fun, not impress anyone. A must-hit if you’re looking for a rowdy night out.
Fox Harbor Pub – Downtown
Fox Harbor feels like the local tavern version of a warm hug. It’s right on the river, which makes the patio one of the best hangout spots in town when the weather cooperates. Inside, it’s all wood, laughter, and friendly service. The menu leans classic with burgers, fish, and cheese curds, and the beer taps keep things Wisconsin through and through.
St. Brendan’s Inn Pub – Downtown
St. Brendan’s is an Irish pub that actually feels Irish, not like a chain trying to be. Cozy booths, dark wood, and pints of Guinness that taste the way they should. You’ll find locals catching up over shepherd’s pie or listening to live trad music by the fireplace. It’s the kind of place where you might stop for one and end up staying for three.
Main Street Bourbon Room – Downtown
Main Street Bourbon Room is all about craft cocktails, dark leather, and an impressive whiskey list that’ll make any bourbon nerd smile. It’s got that classy but not stuffy vibe, perfect for a date night or just pretending you have expensive taste. Order an Old Fashioned and settle in for a few rounds; you won’t be disappointed.
Titletown Brewing Co. – Downtown
Titletown is a Green Bay staple for a reason. Set in a converted train depot, it’s part brewpub, part local institution, with a solid lineup of house beers and hearty food to match. The rooftop bar is the move in summer, with views that make even non-Packers fans appreciate the town. Great place to post up before or after a game.
Pro Tips:
- Downtown Green Bay keeps things casual, with most of the good eats and bars packed along the riverfront and Broadway District. Start your night around Titletown or Crown & Common, then make your way toward the Olde Main area if you’re chasing live music or a late-night beer.
- Kitchens close earlier than you might expect, so plan your dinner before 9. If you’re still hungry later, head for Kroll’s for a butter burger or grab a pizza from Glass Nickel. They’ll keep you fed when most of the city’s already calling it a night.
Even if you’ve already booked your tickets, hotel, and travel, you’ve still gotta tailgate before the Eagles game, right? That’s what I thought. You can still book tailgate only or tailgate and game ticket options with Phans, too.
