Are the Eagles in the mix for Clemson RB Travis Etienne?

Could the Eagles be looking at another running back during the 2021 NFL Draft? A few days after it was reported they were interested in Louisanna Tech RB Israel Tucker, another prospect looks to be in Philadelphia. Clemson running back Travis Etienne posted stories on his Instagram of a Philadelphia Eagles flag in the City of Brotherly Love.
Etienne is projected somewhere around the late first round and the second-best running back in the 2021 class behind Alabama’s Najee Harris. Going after Etienne comes as a bit of a shock, having Miles Sanders and several other positions of need. Despite that, it isn’t completely unprecedented. Howie Roseman was interested in J.K. Dobbins during last year’s draft, but it still isn’t the best selection.
The former Tiger had a down season in 2020, having just 914 yards in 12 appearances. Travis exploded for over 1,600 yards in 15 games in his junior year with over 19 touchdowns and nearly eight yards per carry.
Nobody knows what the Eagles have up their sleeve in the upcoming draft. Although they traded back, there are rumors that the Eagles could trade up again, have been in the mix for quarterbacks, or go receiver or cornerback. With pick 37, there have been rumblings they could move up and have been linked to LSU’s Terrace Marshall Jr.
