MLB releases Opening Day promo video, does not feature anything to do with the Phillies

We are just a few days away from Major League Baseball’s Opening Day. The Phillies are finishing up Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida and there is a laundry list of reasons as to why this season is the most anticipated one over the past decade.
Notable Phillies Headlines
- Bryce Harper as the reigning National League MVP.
- Best Catcher in Baseball, JT Realmuto.
- Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos.
- Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, and Corey Knebel.
- Young prospects Bryson Stott and Mickey Moniak.
With all that being said, here’s the official Major League Baseball Opening Day promotional video released this morning on social media.

The clips move fast but unless my eyes are deceiving me, the only time I see the Phillies is JT Realmuto missing a tag a home plate.
Seriously?
If that’s the only clip from Philly, then I have no other choice than to think that the MLB hates Phillies like how the NBA hates the 76ers.
All these dumb mascots running around and not one clip of arguable the most famous mascot in sports with the Phillie Phanatic, who is finally returning to the original design? Not a single clip of Bryce Harper? Real great job on building superstars, MLB, this is really great marketing.
You know what, maybe it’s a good thing. I don’t mind being unnoticed by Major League Baseball heading into Opening Day. This is Philadelphia. No one likes us, we don’t care.
