Phillies inked to four Sunday Night Baseball games including the 2023 Opening Weekend

The National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies are set to be under the spotlight to start the 2023 season.
Announced on Monday, the Fightins will play the first Sunday Night Baseball game of the year on ESPN, squaring off with the Texas Rangers on the road.

Other Phils games on ESPN’s SNB include April 30th in a rematch with the Houston Astros, May 28th vs. the rival Atlanta Braves, and August 20th when the Phillies take the field against the Washington Nationals in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, during the Little League World Series.

Opening Weekend will feature a pitchers duel in Game 1 of 162, as Jacob deGrom will take the hill against Aaron Nola, who will most certainly make his 6th Opening Day start in a row. This would set Wheeler up to start on Sunday Night Baseball, which is the series finale in a 2-game road series to kick off the season.
