Never Any Doubt: Patron’s ‘Go Birds!’ spurred Jon Rahm to 1st Masters victory

Believe it or not, Jon Rahm’s win at the Masters was written in the stars. At first, it seemed it was snatched from the jaws of defeat due to a jinx from Zach Ertz.
Now, a new video of a patron giving Rahm a “Go Birds!” after a tee shot proves it was fate all along:
I must say, there are a lot more Eagles-related stories coming out of this Masters tournament than I expected. I’d say exponentially so, but considering the usual number is zero, that turn of phrase would hardly apply.
There have been plenty of iconic post-swing shouts in golf history. “Mashed potatoes!” is an all-time great. “Yeah, playa!” is one I say on a daily basis. But “Go Birds” is a new twist on an old classic, proving it’s truly a phrase you can say anywhere.
From the Jetro lot to Augusta National, Go Birds finds a way. If you think about it, it’s almost like the Eagles won the Masters (except not at all).
