Reed Blankenship records his first pick of the season, dances his ass off

Reed Blankenship committed an act of white-on-white violence against Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield. The Eagles safety read Mayfield like a chapter of Dick and Jane to force the turnover in the 2nd quarter.

Blankenship made the play and proceeded to dance his ass off:

An interception on the road in front of a stadium that’s 59% Eagles fans is already electric enough. But hitting the lean with it rock with it sends it over the top.

With question marks across the defense before the start of the season, it’s great to see both new and familiar faces performing at a high level. The team was counting on Blankenship to step up in a big way and he’s answered the call.

He’s clearly got his sights set on every white QB in the league. Aaron Rodgers last year and Baker this year. Sam Howell should be shaking in his boots leading up to next weekend’s matchup.

Plus, Slay was just having fun with it. A little bonus feature of the celebration.

The Liberty Line crew has been down in Clearwater Beach, Florida, since Friday (TLL Friday Night..), and let me tell you, the place was jam-packed with Eagles fans.

Sure, I completely understand that there are other travel groups outside of Phans of Philly, and maybe I’m a little biased, but the hundreds that showed up for Monday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and our Eagles were fantastic.

As usual, Phans of Philly had airfare, travel to and from the airport, rooms, happy hours, and tailgates scheduled for the entire trip. They emailed us a full itinerary, Brent Celek and Beau Allen were partying with us, and the always-popular Dunphy was all over the place the last 4 days.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
